Jemma was born and raised in Islington, North London, and studied for her GCSEs in Camden.
She has worked in several different fields of dentistry, ranging from Private Practice to Community services, NHS practices, and Specialist dental practices.
Jemma’s professional interests include cosmetic dentistry, minor oral surgery, and working with special needs and nervous patients.
Her personal interests include learning, attending training courses, travelling, socialising, reading, and spending time with her family.
In 1998, Jemma began working in a dental practice in Victoria as a trainee dental nurse. This is where her dental nursing journey began.
In 2001, she attended Eastman Dental Hospital, where she was awarded a National Certificate in Dental Nursing (NEBDN) Dental Nursing Qualification.
In 2006, Jemma was given the opportunity to train as a Dental Nurse Tutor and Assessor, working for City & Guilds, helping trainee dental nurses to gain their qualification. She qualified with an A1 Award for Dental Assessors in 2007 and went on to study for a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) at Canterbury University.
