Originally from Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Tim studied dentistry at the University of Dundee and has over 20 years of experience as a practicing dentist.
Tim has traveled widely as part of his charity work, contributing to programs in countries as diverse as Romania, Mauritius, and New Zealand before finally settling in London.
Tim is married with two teenage children. He is passionate about community work and opened Blue Finch Dental in 2024 to create a community-focused dental practice for all the family.
Tim is currently completing a Master’s degree in fixed and removable prosthodontics, which encompasses fillings, implants, crowns, dentures, and all treatments to replace missing teeth. He is a coder and active researcher in the field of dental prosthetics, developing software to further dental research and technology.
Tim’s Master’s thesis (click to download) is a review of the accuracy and evidence base of non-contact methods of measuring faces while respecting evidence-based clinical care.
Tim enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and children. Tim and his wife are wine enthusiasts, although Tim admits his wife is the real expert!
Tim is also learning cabinet making and woodwork, and he enjoys scripting and coding using Java and C# as part of ongoing research into 3D image analysis.
